PEEK Tubes

PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) is a highly sought after material in the Oil and Gas industry due to:

  • High temperature resistance – withstands continuous operating temperatures of up to 260 deg c and temperatures of 300 deg c for shorter periods.
  • Radiation resistance – maintains properties after high doses if ionising radiation
  • Hydrolysis resistance – retains mechanical properties and dimensional stability when exposed to water or steam at elevated temperatures or pressures
  • Lubricity – inherently lubricious and abrasion resistant
  • Chemical resistance – excellent resistance to a wide range of chemical environments even at elevated temperatures
  • Electrical properties – maintained over a wide frequency and temperature range
  • Outstanding wear properties – Provides outstanding wear resistance and uniformity
  • Outstanding mechanical properties
  • Excellent processability
  • Easy to machine
  • Excellent metal substitution material

Caledonian Industries

These properties make PEEK & Glass filled PEEK an ideal choice for use in the production of downhole seals and back-up rings in the Oil and Gas industry.

In Glasgow, Caledonian Industries manufacture PEEK & GF PEEK tubes using our DCMS process. These tubes are manufactured in a range from 53mm od, 37mm id x 150mm long up to 368mm od x 318mm id x 150mm long. The tubes are then heat-treated to enhance their strength and durability.

We supply PEEK tubes and finished parts to Oil and Gas companies worldwide. Our production team ensures that all its products meet the highest quality standards to ensure maximum safety and reliability, helping to ensure the smooth operation of Oil and Gas drilling operations.
